Founder Taylor M. Goldman grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Taylor remained in the northwest Arkansas region after graduate school, gaining two years of experience at local geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm, Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton and Wyatt, Inc.

Family roots drew him to North Louisiana where he learned about the region’s soils and soil remediation solutions from local experts and became a Licensed Louisiana Professional Engineer. After spending five and a half years learning from and with some of the area’s most experienced geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing colleagues, Taylor decided to take his experiences and knowledge of geotechnical engineering out on his own and founded Goldman Geotechnical Consulting, LLC.

Taylor is a member of the Order of the Engineer and has served as President for the Shreveport chapter and as State Director of the Louisiana Engineering Society. The goal at Goldman Geotechnical Consulting is to provide our clients and community with expert geotechnical engineering solutions with a personal touch.
